The role leads the foods process technology team to support H1 AOP refresh innovations delivery, lead process development and technical solutions to drive reframe and breakthrough innovations; develop and unlock new technology to fulfill H2/3 pipeline, build technical capability in lab & pilot plant scale in Shanghai R&D center, and define scale up solution
Responsibilities- Support China core snacks, beyond PC, nutrition innovation agenda, enable AOP delivery with technical development and robust scale up
- Unlock technical solutions for H2/3 long term innovation pipeline consistent with China and APAC Foods strategy
- Lead APAC foods R&D 5 years capex plan, build technical capability roadmap and equipment solutions, have right equipment and facility in place in lab scale and pilot scale in Shanghai R&D center
- Build solid networking with PD team, engineering, MOS and global R&D process function team to ensure process specification in place to deliver right product design in-house
- Lead technical communication with Co-Man and equipment vendors to recommend design choices as needed, to drive 3rd party innovation and co-creation and scale up
- Ensure completion of process technical documents, e.g. process layout, finished product and process specifications
- Work closely with Product Development, FSQA, site operation, to ensure agile innovation model and test market product launch via R&D pilot factory, and apply learning for future scale-up in factory
- Bachelor degree or above in Engineering, Food Science, Biochemical engineering or adjacent subjects
- Fluent communication skill include writing and speaking both in English and Chinese
- 15+ years R&D working experience in multinational company, Foods industry and Process Development are preferred
- 10+ years of experience of leading team and coaching people
- Understand R&D methodology, process or Innovation tools that apply to R&D projects / activities
- Solid knowledge about process development, equipment, engineering; have rich experience of new technology development, equipment design, commissioning and scale up
- Strong experience of successful Innovation in Foods, and deep knowledge in emerging and developing markets
- Strong skills in project management
