Role Overview
As Associate Manager within the process automation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions utilizing tools like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Power Platforms or other informal processes within business teams. Automation of local processes will be another avenue for accelerating the growth of PepsiCo’s enterprise data asset and enhancing the value of the enterprise Data Platform. You will be working very closely with the business stakeholders as well as Process Automation Manager in identify areas and developing solutions where automation can add business value and take data out of informal processes, institutionalize, and structure them for efficiency. You will be engaged in various automation initiatives, provide analytics and workgroup solutions that enhance productivity and eliminate or streamline labor intense work as well as focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities- Partner with internal customers to assess needs and design solutions to improve efficiencies by automating repetitive and/or manual processes;
- Improve controls through standardization of workflows;
- Lead requirements and scoping sessions with business partners to understand, define and anticipate business needs;
- Create data and quality assurance reviews and direct stakeholders/customers in quality testing to ensure requirements have been met and design is optimized for functionality and performance;
- Responsible for on-time delivery of all automation projects;
- Plan and prioritize activities, report progress to the management on a weekly basis;
- Work with Business Engagement, IT, key D+A teams (Data Engineering, Data Management & Data Governance) to design the appropriate support structure and processes;
- Design solutions of workflow processes, web services, plugins, and other components needed to meet the business requirements;
- Ensure that all solutions are lightweight, scalable, completely secure, and built to an appropriate level of quality;
- Develop and maintain new and existing applications, systems, custom reports, and database structures;
- Participate in the implementation of the solution architecture, understanding and recognizing the impacts of the solution to other systems;
- Create and manage Design and Technical specifications document, review, and update documentation for all application standard operating procedures;
- Collaborate with other programmers in development, techniques, and coding assignments;
- Apply industry software development standards and best practices including, but not limited to, unit test automation, code reviews, and maintaining code versions / application solutions in available repositories;
- Research and recommend new and existing technologies to meet business needs, including creating prototypes, design documents, and solution designs;
- Identify areas of opportunity for new automation and continuous improvement;
- Plan and execute secure, good practice data management strategies and approaches;
- Partner with business stakeholders to create responsibility matrices for end-to-end processes that impact Enterprise level Strategic Data Elements;
- Continuous improvement; provide end-user technical support and performance-tune automated processes as necessary;
- Manage work request queue in accordance with team Project Management Office (PMO) policies and internal ticket tracking EDO Support Center; ensure requests are addressed in a timely manner;
- Collaborate with the team on required support related to automation.
- 5+ years of experience developing automation applications for non-enterprise/smaller business processes using Microsoft tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Platform), RPA (e.g., UiPath);
- 1+ years of experience with Azure, Python, Databricks is a plus;
- A very strong appetite to learn;
- Excellent communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to multi-task; high degree of organization and proven track record of managing multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously;
- Positive and flexible attitude to enable adjusting to different needs in an ever-changing environment;
- Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirement;
- Bachelor’s degree required (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or related field);

- Extensive experience in the following tools, disciplines, and processes: Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services (MS VSTS), MS 365 Dynamics, MS Power Platform (Apps, Automate, etc.), Advanced Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) including macro creation, debugging and deployment; ability to work with large data sets; MS Access database creation & deployment in accordance with standard database design principles, cloud computing including Microsoft Azure;
- Familiarity with Data Extraction, Transforming and Loading (ETL) using various tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Data Transformation Services (DTS);
- Developer experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and the use of various robotic software such as UiPath and/or MS Power Automate Desktop (PAD);
- Experience with basic reporting solutions and tools such as SAP Business Objects. Ability to become familiar with visual analytic tools such as Power BI, Tableau as well as data mining, process modeling/mining software, and other business intelligence tools and applications;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Visio/PowerPoint);
- Experience in Azure Dev Ops.
