Finance Control Manager - Commercial

Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide transparency and support the Finance Business Partnering in creating relevant business insights. The role involves identifying opportunities, financial risks and ensuring reliable execution of monthly/quarterly/yearly controlling tasks

Responsibilities

 To be responsible for Commercial agenda through support Sales activities to ensure compliance with S2C Process, Procedures/Policies and Tax Compliance through periodical operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all Sales Contracts, Trading Terms, Promotion programs (both OT & TT channels) to make sure terms and condition comply with PepsiCo Policy and Local Tax Regulation
  • Properly assess commercial risks for business model/sales contract/ project and set control process and test the results
  • Ensure accuracy and control effectiveness of Promotion Scheme Proposal (PSP) and Price Change Request (PCR).
  • Ensure the appropriate supporting document of Trade Spending and Promotions payment comply with PepsiCo Policy and Local Tax Regulation
  • Take the lead on Annual Credit Review on the effectiveness of credit control process
  • Highlight issues in credit control process and give recommendation for correction to management team
  • Proactively work with all cross functions & customers to ensure AR’s aging is quickly solved to reduce the overdue.
  • Effectively manage Days Credit Sales Outstanding (DCSO)
  • To be a consultant for related finance control, tax risk to stakeholders
  • Assessing risks in new and existing process of Order to Cash (OTC), Trade Spending, POSM management, informing and educating stakeholders on such risks.
  • Organize the monthly meeting review the action plan progress of risk mitigation and strictly follow up stakeholders where financial and other controls can be improved
  • Perform the random check for commercial key controls to ensure operation align with the designed SOP
  • Ensure the completion of the monthly Sales Volume, Revenue, D&A, AR transactions timely and accurately
  • Perform the monthly business analysis of Sales Volume, Revenue, D&A and S&D to highlight major abnormal variance and agree on corrective actions to be taken and follow up if the effectiveness
  • Perform the monthly Balance Sheet Review of assigned accounts including AR Aging, Trade Spending to solve the aging timely
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the quarterly GCS self-testing of assigned key controls
  • Maintain the master data of customer and vendor in effective way ensure to comply Policy and Procedure
  • Delivering on ad hoc analyses to secure increased value creation in the business
  • Participate BU/Sector finance projects to share and learn the best practices among PepsiCo Finance Communities, then drive value creation for VNMU
  • Lead the simplification and automation of activities and processes to reduce manual inefficient steps in Commercial Controlling area.

Team management

  • Provide direct line leadership, coaching and development for team
  • To be a role model Manager for direct reports
  • Develop talent and build the successor plan for talent
  • Organize the monthly 1-1 catch-up with direct report to give/get constructive feedback
  • Create the energy and positive working environment in team

  • Others will assign by line manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business, CPAor CMA
  • 5+ years experience in Manager Level and Finance Controlling of Multi-national Corporations
  • Excellent English communication skills and writing
  • Leadership skills with strong teamwork spirit and coaching
  • Competence in managing business compliance of Trade Spending Tax and Financial Risk
  • Experienced in use of ERP such as Oracle or SAP is a plus
  • Advance in Excel, Power Point and Power BI skills
  • Possess a commercial mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and the tight deadline
  • Strong business partnering skill: the ability to communicate and influence other business heads on the decision making of the business
  • Proactive, strong leadership, responsible
