The Martech Functional Lead will engage with the business, lead functional scope gathering/analysis for campaigns, transition scope to the development team and validate deliverables within Salesforce to confirm alignment with requirements.
Responsibilities- Gather requirements for full life cycle of 1P data collection, email/messaging, segmentation and social activation.
- Steer/Attend important functional meetings with Business and project teams.
- Analyze requirements and clarify any questions with the business
- Document requirements in a format understandable by the development team.
- Keep track of all the campaigns progress and follow up on open items with Agency/Business
- Discuss and understand SFMC input mechanisms with the business campaign marketing agency - SFTP/API
- Align file formats to be imported from a source system into campaign platforms.
- Ensure the dev team follows encryption mechanisms to securely load in the tech platform from an external agency.
- Define test scenarios and perform quality assurance
- Help document, and maintain processes, report on common sources of issues or questions, and make recommendations to the Project team.
- Communicate key insights and findings to the Project team.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent with 12+ years of IT experience, 5+ years as a business analyst.
- Thorough knowledge of the Business analysis process
- At least one+ year of experience with SFMC, and understanding of core email marketing and automation concepts.
- Well-versed with Agile methodologies and processes.
- Attention to detail and experience in gathering requirements.
- Ability and desire to work with a high degree of independence and ownership in a geographically distributed team consisting of other developers.
