Responsibilities

Commercial Insights

In this exciting new role, as a Senior Shopper Behavior Manager on the PepsiCo Walmart team. You will take a leadership role on the new Luminate data platform and collaborate with the PFNA Commercial Insights team and commercial business partners such as Sales, Marketing, E-Comm and Supply Chain to identify opportunities and provide in depth expertise on shopper behavior to inform growth strategies. You will also be responsible for building some of our shopper digital capabilities around innovation, events and stores. You will also seek to leverage consumer and shopper insights to incorporate consumer need states and macro and Walmart specific shopper insights.

Specifically, this role will work to identify Walmart shopper trends, shopper behavior insights, competitive threats, and customer strategies to increase sales, drive category and PepsiCo portfolio growth and deliver increased share of market. You will provide critical expertise and thought leadership of the Shopper Behavior & Insights and be actively engaged with the PFNA Commercial team to understand goals, problems to solve and bring important contextual business understanding to your projects. You will be expected to be a thought leader and positively influence the commercial decision-making process. You will be expected to be a thought leader for the “Shopper Understanding” agenda:

  • Lead the development of a strong foundational understanding of the WMT Shopper: Profile shoppers, understand cohorts and their under-lying behaviors that can help drive brand performance
  • Integrate information from many sources and develop actionable insights and recommendation. These sources would include syndicated consumer and market data, external sources, bespoke studies and PepsiCo’s NA A&I Shopper capabilities for the purposes of uncovering compelling insights
  • Define shopper growth insights and store level opportunities (for events, innovation, assortment, etc.) through tools and capabilities developed by the broader team
  • Closely partner with advisor teams on providing shopper-based insights on disaggregated growth, understanding of impulse, shelf analytics and path to purchase
  • Provide thought leadership and in-depth expertise on shopper behavior and their projections across channels to inform growth strategies
  • Identify Walmart shopper trends, shopper behavior insights, trip and basket shifts to drive category and PepsiCo portfolio growth and deliver increased share of market
  • Showcase critical expertise and thought leadership of the Luminate data platform
  • Actively engage with the PFNA Commercial team to understand goals, problems to solve and bring important contextual business understanding to your analytical projects. You will be expected to be a thought leader and positively influence the commercial decision-making process
  • Lead the shopper Insights-based planning and strategy internally and externally, integrated for Annual planning, Customer engagement meetings, etc.
  • Provide skillful analysis and support to PEP executive team (LG3 LG8) with your work in the areas of “Business problems to solve”

You will also be required to:

  • Utilize syndicated consumer and market data for the purposes of uncovering compelling insights
  • Master the Scinitilla (Previously known as “Luminate”) shopper data platform and be expert on utilization for commercial insights team
  • Leverage shopper and consumer insights in the development of category and brand growth strategies
  • Integrate information from many sources and develop actionable insights and recommendations
  • Participate in customer strategic planning processes
  • Provide skillful analysis and support PEP executive team (LG3 LG8) with data, dashboards, analysis and key business reporting- accountable for making decisions
  • Become Power User of Scinitilla (Previously known as “Luminate”) for PBNA Commercial executive team – accountable for executing actions

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of Category Management experience within the consumer-packaged-goods industry
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking; ability to link strategies and objectives to develop compelling stories. Strong data analysis, problem-solving orientation
  • Experience working with commercial sales teams on business development projects preferred with focus on strategy to execution
  • Strong thought-leadership and influencing skills
