PepsiCo employs more than 12,000 people across six categories in South Africa. Our mission across these categories is to empower our employees, partners and suppliers by valuing their unique contributions, past experiences and diversity.

Bakeries

Our Bakeries category is home to our biggest brand, SASKO. The division produces bread, specialty bread, rolls and buns.

Grains

The Grains category is home to our maize, rice and legumes products which are marketed under the White Star, Spekko and Imbo brands respectively.

Foods

The foods category consists of a range of Cereals, Sauces and spreads, Baking & Desserts; From the 100-year-old Bokomo brand including the iconic Weet-Bix, as well as our saucy Wellington’s range – named after the town in which they are created.

Fruit

Safari Dried Fruit and Nuts is a market leader in the dried fruit and nuts category. This range was established over a century ago and promises raw goodness straight from the earth.

Snacks

Our portfolio includes a range of salty snacks, potato chips, tortilla chips, extrudes, and nuts & seeds.

Juice and Beverages

The portfolio includes long life fruit juice, dilutables, and ice-tea. Our most popular brands in this category are LiquiFruit and Ceres, other brands include FruitTree, Daly’s and Wild Island.

InnovationA small global team, one big idea to save water

When PepsiCo made its annual call for The Next Big Idea, hundreds answered. Among them, five women from five countries with the motto, “More crop per drop.”

A career-changing learning journey

Duke University, Kgodiso Development Fund and PepsiCo launched the Graduate Programme and Future Leaders Programme in 2022 to empower young African professionals. Thirty-six participants were accepted to work at PepsiCo and get exemplary career and leadership training in the areas of supply chain, research & development, agronomy, finance and commerce.
